500 Miles to New Kicks

As I first started running, I heard the golden rule of new shoes after every 500 miles. Trust me, listen to these words of wisdom. The last thing you want to do is run in old shoes that can’t go the distance.

It’s an important investment for not only your feet but your overall performance. When I get a new pair of kicks, it signals a new season in my running. Opening the box and putting them on for the first time, brings a huge smile to my face. Plus…who doesn’t enjoy shoe shopping?

When I started running, I would scope out what fellow runners were wearing and talk to store associates to weigh my options. I wasn’t trying to go for the most stylish brand but one that I knew could be a great partner in training for a half marathon.

New Balance seemed to check all the boxes for me in terms of comfort, durability and look. Below is the current shoe I’m in (absolutely love them) and wanted to share for those of you in need of new shoes to hit the pavement with!
